🇮🇳 From the BIS Archives | Constitution Day 2024

On 26 November 2024, Buddhist International School, Pimple Gurav celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers, parents and the school management.

The programme was conducted in two sessions and began with Trisharan and Panchsheel, followed by paying respects to Tathagata Gautama Buddha, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and the Constitution of India.

In the morning session, students delivered speeches highlighting the importance of Constitution Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution.

The afternoon session was especially meaningful as the programme was conducted largely by the students themselves. Samruddhi Gaikwad and Supriti Shinde anchored the programme, while Gautami Suryawanshi delivered the vote of thanks. Students presented speeches and songs based on the significance of the Constitution.

During the presidential address, School President Prof. Arvind Salve guided students on important aspects of the Indian Constitution, including its making, Centre–State relations, elections, constitutional amendments, and the Fundamental Rights and Duties of citizens.

The programme concluded with a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India.

The event was attended by Principal Manisha Salve, Office Superintendent Ajit Gaikwad, Supervisor Aditya Salve, Vice Principal Roshni Ma’am, along with teachers, non-teaching staff and parents.

At Buddhist International School, we believe students should not only study the Constitution, but also understand the values of liberty, equality, justice, responsibility and democratic participation that shape responsible citizenship.

Preserving our history. Building the future.
